Our team worked with the Glebe BIA in Ottawa to bring their vision for a gateway feature at the main southbound approach to the community to life. The site available was quite challenging, being oriented parallel to the roadway. Through the use of 3D modelling, we were able to try many virtual plinths, overall orientations and configurations and accurately show the BIA what the gateway would look like from multiple points of view.
The BIA had a basic concept for the lettering, which was developed further by our team to ensure harmony amongst the various letterforms and for manufacturability. Performance Finishing and Fabrication provided a final product that is truly outstanding, with a vibrant Polyarmor powdercoat finish. We’re pretty proud of the way this project turned out!
